NEW Clinical Skills Lab for SANE-Educated Nurses: January 22-23, 8:30-4 PM
The Bridge Forensic Clinic is proud to announce the launch of our Clinical Skills Lab.
We want to prepare nurses to feel comfortable in performing forensic exams. This lab is designed to provide hands-on experience for nurses who have completed Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training and is ready to strengthen their clinical confidence and competency.
The lab begins with a one-day educational component to tie together all the information that nurses have learned in the SANE training, then on the second day they will perform speculum and foley insertion. We will view the entire female genital area with identification, and the nurses should be able to identify the body parts and feel comfortable performing evidence collection.
