Human Trafficking Awareness Month
January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and we took this time to raise awareness and connect with others on this topic. The Center for Violence Prevention partnered with Mississippians Against Human Trafficking for a Virtual Tower Talk. People from across the state tuned in as our keynote speakers joined together for a panel to answer important questions about our response to human trafficking, and how to identify a victim.
We wanted to thank everyone who joined us this month. If you shared our awareness graphic on social media, or started a new conversation with a leader in your community about the cause... then we are thankful and hope to provide more services for those who have survived these crimes.
